Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon (Spring)
All of our volunteers gather bi-annually for this fun and informal luncheon.

Cinco de Mayo Party (Sunday afternoon in early May)
One of our favorite traditions at the Center! The afternoon is filled with mingling, eating, and dancing among our community members and former students who are invited to come back every year. This community-building party includes authentic Mexican cuisine, music, pinatas, and a special “broom dance” led by Sister Trinitas.

Back to School Ice Cream Social (mid-August, Sunday)
School-aged children who come to the Center are treated to an ice cream party and receive new backpacks filled with school supplies to kick-off the new school year. Each year 60-80 backpacks are donated to children in need.

Christmas Party (early December, weekend)
The Center hosts a cookie decorating, craft-making, door-decorating party every December to get into the holiday spirit.

Field Trips (weekends and weekdays throughout the year)
Throughout the year, the Center offers unique field trips to local libraries, outdoor recreation areas, and museums to provide real-world, low-risk opportunities for our members to practice English while exploring the local culture in a supportive environment.
The Center hosts occasional potlucks for students attending the Rosalie Rendu Center.
