After School Homework Help for School-Age Children

In addition to adult language classes, the Rosalie Rendu Center offers small group Homework Help and Tutoring for elementary, middle, and occasionally high school students twice a week during the regular school year.

For many parents at the Center who are learning English, it can be a challenge to help their school-age children with homework assignments and school projects. This after school program is designed to be the bridge for parents and children in the community who need additional support with academics in a one-on-one setting.

Volunteers help an average of 20-30 students each week from the East Palo Alto community with grade level homework and reading. Individual assistance for high school students preparing for SAT exams is also available.

All children of Carriage Manor residents and of the Center’s students are invited to participate in a summer reading club during the months of July. Please contact the center for more information.
